1. Introduction

Welcome to GlobalAxis Logistics. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, freight forwarding services, shipping coordination, express delivery arrangements, and related logistics services.

By accessing our website, requesting a quotation, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website or services.

In these Terms, “GlobalAxis Logistics,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to the business operating under this name. “Customer,” “you,” or “your” refers to any individual or business requesting or using our services.

2. Our Services

GlobalAxis Logistics provides or coordinates logistics and freight-related services, which may include:

  • International ocean freight (FCL and LCL).

  • Air freight and express delivery coordination.

  • Import and export shipping arrangements.

  • Container shipping.

  • Cargo transportation coordination.

  • Project cargo and special freight arrangements.

  • Customs documentation coordination.

  • Shipment tracking and logistics support.

Services are subject to availability, route coverage, carrier capacity, applicable regulations, and the terms of the relevant transportation providers.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, GlobalAxis Logistics does not guarantee that every service will be performed directly by us. We may arrange services through independent carriers, freight operators, shipping lines, airlines, customs agents, warehouses, and other third-party service providers.

3. Quotations and Pricing

All quotations are based on the information supplied by the customer.

Quotations may include freight charges, transportation costs, handling fees, documentation fees, customs-related charges, insurance costs, and other applicable expenses.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Quotations are estimates and are subject to confirmation.

  • Prices may change due to fuel surcharges, carrier adjustments, currency fluctuations, port charges, and other external costs.

  • Additional charges may apply if cargo details, dimensions, weight, pickup location, or delivery requirements differ from the information provided.

  • Quotations are valid only for the period stated in the quotation.

  • A quotation does not constitute a confirmed booking.

The final price will be confirmed before the shipment is arranged.

4. Booking and Shipment Confirmation

A shipment is considered confirmed only after:

  1. The customer accepts the written quotation.

  2. Required shipment information and documents have been provided.

  3. Applicable deposits or payments have been received, where required.

  4. The shipping arrangement has been confirmed by the relevant service provider.

Customers should not deliver cargo or make other irreversible arrangements until written shipment confirmation has been received.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and truthful information about their shipment.

This includes:

  • Correct shipper and consignee details.

  • Accurate cargo descriptions.

  • Correct cargo weight and dimensions.

  • Proper commercial invoices and packing lists.

  • Required permits, certificates, and export or import documents.

  • Accurate pickup and delivery addresses.

  • Disclosure of hazardous, restricted, fragile, perishable, or temperature-sensitive cargo.

Customers must ensure that their goods are legally permitted to be exported, imported, transported, and delivered to the destination country.

GlobalAxis Logistics may refuse or suspend a shipment if the information supplied is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or unlawful.

6. Prohibited and Restricted Cargo

Customers must not request transportation of goods prohibited by applicable laws, customs regulations, sanctions, carrier policies, or international shipping rules.

Restricted goods may include, depending on the route and applicable regulations:

  • Explosives and dangerous substances.

  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances.

  • Counterfeit or stolen goods.

  • Undeclared hazardous materials.

  • Weapons and restricted military equipment.

  • Certain chemicals and perishable products.

  • Other goods prohibited by the relevant authorities or transport provider.

Customers must disclose any hazardous or regulated cargo before booking.

7. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be stated in the quotation, invoice, or written booking confirmation.

Depending on the shipment, payment may be required through:

  • Bank transfer.

  • Approved electronic payment methods.

  • Other payment methods agreed in writing.

Customers must pay all agreed charges by the specified due dates.

GlobalAxis Logistics reserves the right to suspend shipment arrangements or withhold further services where payment obligations have not been met, subject to applicable law and the relevant carrier or service-provider arrangements.

Any additional costs incurred because of late payment, storage, demurrage, detention, or shipment delays may be charged to the customer where applicable and properly disclosed.

8. Shipping and Delivery Times

Estimated transit and delivery times are provided for planning purposes only.

Actual delivery times may be affected by:

  • Weather conditions.

  • Port congestion.

  • Customs inspections and clearance.

  • Shipping line or airline schedules.

  • Vessel or flight changes.

  • Road transportation conditions.

  • Government restrictions.

  • Operational disruptions.

  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise, delivery dates and transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

9. Customs Duties, Taxes and Import Charges

Customers are responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, inspection fees, clearance charges, and other government-imposed costs unless the written quotation expressly states that these charges are included.

Customs authorities have the right to inspect, hold, assess, reject, or seize cargo in accordance with applicable law.

GlobalAxis Logistics does not control customs decisions and cannot guarantee customs clearance or a particular assessment of duties and taxes.

Customers must provide accurate documentation and cooperate with customs requirements.

10. Cargo Insurance

Cargo insurance is not automatically included unless expressly stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.

Customers are encouraged to obtain appropriate cargo insurance based on the value, nature, and destination of their goods.

If insurance is requested, coverage will depend on the insurer’s policy terms, exclusions, conditions, and approval.

Customers should review insurance coverage carefully before shipment.

11. Delays, Loss and Damage

GlobalAxis Logistics will make reasonable efforts to coordinate shipments and communicate relevant updates.

However, cargo may be delayed, lost, or damaged during transportation, handling, storage, or customs processing.

Where transportation is performed by an independent carrier or service provider, that provider’s applicable contract terms, liability limits, and claims procedures may apply.

Customers should inspect cargo upon delivery and document visible damage or shortages immediately.

Any claim should be reported promptly, with supporting evidence such as photographs, delivery records, inspection reports, invoices, and shipment documents.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

12. Cancellations and Amendments

Customers who wish to cancel or amend a shipment must notify GlobalAxis Logistics in writing as soon as possible.

Cancellation or amendment charges may apply depending on:

  • Whether the shipment has already been booked.

  • Whether cargo has been collected or dispatched.

  • Carrier cancellation charges.

  • Documentation and administrative costs.

  • Storage, handling, or other expenses already incurred.

Any refund will be assessed based on payments received, services already performed, and non-refundable third-party costs, subject to applicable law and the agreed booking terms.

13. Storage, Demurrage and Detention

Additional charges may arise when cargo or containers remain at a port, terminal, warehouse, or other facility beyond the permitted free time.

These may include:

  • Storage charges.

  • Demurrage.

  • Detention.

  • Terminal handling charges.

  • Warehouse fees.

  • Additional transportation or handling costs.

Where these charges result from customer delays, incomplete documentation, unpaid charges, or failure to collect cargo, the customer may be responsible for the applicable costs.

14. Third-Party Service Providers

GlobalAxis Logistics may coordinate services through independent transportation companies, shipping lines, airlines, customs agents, warehouses, trucking companies, and other logistics providers.

These providers may have their own terms, conditions, tariffs, liability limits, and claims procedures.

Customers may be required to comply with those terms in addition to this document.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GlobalAxis Logistics will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.

Any liability for cargo loss, damage, or delay will be determined by the applicable contract, mandatory transportation conventions, relevant service-provider terms, and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

16. Force Majeure

GlobalAxis Logistics will not be considered in breach of these Terms for a failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include:

  • Natural disasters.

  • Severe weather.

  • War, terrorism, or civil unrest.

  • Government restrictions or sanctions.

  • Port closures or congestion.

  • Strikes and labour disputes.

  • Epidemics or public emergencies.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant disruptions and assist with alternative arrangements where possible.
